The adults-only wellbeing retreat in Maldives announces dates for the limited-time retreats, inviting young explorers and wonder-seekers on an unforgettable journey
JOALI BEING, the first wellbeing retreat in the Maldives, has announced their ‘Joy of BEING’ retreats, inviting young explorers to the island of Bodufushi in Raa Atoll to connect with nature, discover science and explore their path to wellbeing.
During 23rd March – 10th May 2023, 1st July – 31st August 2023, 1st Oct – 7th Oct 2023, 21st December – 15th Jan 2024 and 10th to 17th February 2024, the adults-only retreat will welcome ages 6-12 to uncover the Four Pillars of JOALI BEING and expand their minds and hearts through new experiences while creating lasting memories.
Each activity of the Joy of BEING Retreat will reflect one of the Four Pillars of JOALI BEING - Mind, Skin, Microbiome and Energy - as children discover a love and respect for nature, learn about the island’s sustainability, and can return home with science-based tools applicable in their daily life. Parents will embark on their own journey to transcendence, self-discovery and renewal – both coming together at the close of each day to share their experiences over dinner and an unbeatable Maldivian sunset.
A dedicated, interactive wellbeing destination like none other, JOALI BEING meets guests where they are at for a personalised journey that leads the pathway to true “weightlessness”. The island is home to the finest wellbeing facilities and unique transformational spaces that allow guests to immerse in elemental therapies and healing experiences, paired with educational workshops and experiential classes with wellbeing experts, culinary maestros, herbalists, and more.
“We are pleased to bring back the Joy of BEING Retreat after the success of its debut last summer season and for our guests to create lifelong experiences with their families yet again”, says General Manager Özgür Cengīz. “There is nothing better than sharing the magic of JOALI BEING with the next generation of future wellbeing seekers and naturalists”.
During the retreat, children can take part in a vast array of activities, educational classes and ocean adventures with JOALI BEING’s team of experts in a collection of world-class spaces. With WIFI only available in villas at JOALI BEING, children will disconnect and connect with nature. Activities during the Joy of BEING Retreat include; herbology workshops at on-site herbology centre AKTAR, culinary workshops learning the art and science of cooking, mindful ice cream making, juice workshops, submarine immersions, snorkelling to nearby turtle reefs, tennis lessons, meditation, beach games, and more.
Families will enjoy JOALI BEING’s 68 elegantly appointed and expansive guest accommodations with 33 beach villas and 35 over-water villas. Offering 13 different villa categories, guests may choose from one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom options, all of which come complete with a personal Jadugar, meaning ‘skilled magician’ in Dhivehi.
