People of JOALI: A Family’s Journey of Joy
@(titleX)>From around the world, joy-seekers arrive at our magical island, hidden in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Come, discover real moments and real stories from the People of JOALI.
A family favourite
Every year, Mom and her two little ones — fondly nicknamed “the explorers” by our team — return to JOALI Maldives. This is their special island. A place of bright smiles, light hearts and golden moments.
As the seaplane touches down and the family emerges into the Maldivian sunshine, a sense of pure joy washes over them. Look at the colour of that water! And the white sands and lush coconut palms! It feels like being in paradise.
JOALI greets the travellers warmly, with tropical drinks and fresh flowers. Welcome back to our island, dear friends! Let the magic begin…
Breakfast, balloons and bicycles
The morning starts with the family’s favourite tradition — breakfast in the villa, with the turquoise lagoon at their doorstep. The kids love the bright, beautiful colours on their plates. Is it food or art? Our culinary team likes to mix up the two, bringing a sense of fun to the dining table.
As breakfast comes to an end, the bell rings. Who could it be? The little ones rush to open the door. Voila! The Jadugar has arrived with balloons and surprise gifts for the young explorers. Here at JOALI, our private butlers are known as Jadugars, meaning “magicians” in the local language. They take their magical duties very seriously, always looking to add a touch of enchantment to your stay.
Later, it’s time to ready, steady, ride! Mom has been teaching her daughter to ride a bike, and what better place to practice than JOALI? Outside the villa are complimentary bicycles, perfect for pedalling around the breezy island — a storybook setting for lifelong memories.
Water babies, all day long
For the young son, the highlight of the day is spending time in the pool, his happy place. He can stay in the water for hours — swimming, playing or simply splashing about. “Mom, can we stay just a little longer please?” Mom laughs and gives in, holding him close. Her joyful smile mirrors the bliss on his little face.
The daughter, who is a few years older, likes swimming in the crystal-clear lagoon. This is the year she’s learning to snorkel, with Mom by her side. Taking that first breath underwater is an epic moment…the gateway to a lifetime of marine discoveries! It’s an experience she’ll remember forever (and so will Mom).
Afterwards, it’s time to cool off with homemade ice creams from La Joie. The kiddos need to make an important decision: shall we try a new flavour, or enjoy an old favourite? Luckily, there are no wrong answers.
Party time for kiddos, ‘Me’ time for mom
Parties at Muramas Kids Club are simply the best. Turty the Turtle, a friend to all the kids, shows off his cool moves. The little ones join the fun, moving and grooving under the generous palms. Then, it’s time for exciting games and activities. From arts & crafts to treasure hunts to cooking classes, each day offers endless possibilities — all carefully supervised by JOALI attendants.
While the young explorers are busy having fun with their new friends, it’s the perfect chance for Mom to squeeze in some “me time”. Off she goes to JOALI BEING Cure, an oasis of healing and rejuvenation. The healing hands of our therapists knead away all fatigue and stress, leaving Mom feeling like a new woman.
Dancing the night away
It’s almost time for the beach cocktail and the family is busy getting ready. Mom is helping her daughter get dressed. The young girl is at a delicate age, exactly when she needs her mother’s guidance the most. Along with a charming shell necklace, Mom passes on her favourite accessories to her darling daughter — joy, self-confidence and a sense of wonder.
At the evening soiree, the family has just one rule: dance like no one is watching! They twirl and tango, creating pure magic under the glittering sky. Look at those smiles. Pure love. Pure joy.
Between dances, Mom and the kids catch up with their holiday friends. Everyone is at the celebration tonight, here to share the spirit of joie de vivre. The warmth of the JOALI community fills each heart with a glow. This feels like home, doesn’t it?
